Ngarri-djarrang (Central Creek Grassland)
Part of the recently declared Merri Creek Marram Baba Parklands ('Body of the Mother', a critical biodiversity corridor through Melbourne's northern suburbs), Ngarri-djarrang ('Thigh') includes Endangered Matted Flax-lily and state Vulnerable Rye Beetle-grass. Annoyingly bisected by a road and cut-off from Merri Creek.
Main photo: Regularly burnt in patches, sadly disconnected from Merri Creek
2: A road cuts the grassland in half
3: Bad urban design, grassland abutting a residence
4: It took a fight to get to this
5: Planting to make the edge engaging
6: The locals love the kangaroos
