Evans Street Grassland

The jewel in the crown of Melbourne's grasslands, with over 150 plant species recorded, this small (2 ha) grassland is proof big is not better. A protracted conservation battle finally achieved permanent protection. Excellent public interface, inviting engagement and offering good educational experience. It is also a site for threatened species reintroductions.
