The western, Kalkallo Retarding Basin portion is public land, with the remainder yet to be acquired. Grassland with Golden Sun Moth, Matted Flax-lily and Growling Grass Frog. Part of the recently declared Merri Creek Marram Baba ('Body of the Mother') Parklands, a critical biodiversity corridor through Melbourne's northern suburbs.
